Practical steps

   Open the permits area. Tap Issue Permit and pick the type: Hot Works, Confined Space, Working at Height, Electrical.

   Fill the named issuer and named recipient. Both are individual people, not job titles.

   Set the valid-from and valid-until times. Permits should never exceed one working day without a re-issue.

   Add the required photos: PPE in place, fire watch present, isolation tag fitted, gas test result.

   Tap Issue. The recipient signs digitally. The permit is live until the valid-until time.

   At the end of the work, close the permit. Add a closing photo and any incident notes.
