Daily report template that takes 6 minutes to write
Write a daily progress report that captures everything stakeholders need in under 6 minutes.
Practical steps
- 1
Open the reports area. Pick Daily from the template list.
- 2
The template auto-fills date, weather, and headcount from the morning sign-in.
- 3
Write 3 sentences in the Progress section: what was done, what was held up, what is happening tomorrow.
- 4
Add one progress photo if the day produced something visible.
- 5
Pick any incidents or near-misses from the dropdown. If none, tick the explicit None Today box.
- 6
Submit. The report routes to the project director and the client lead automatically.
Key takeaways
- Three sentences for progress: done, held up, tomorrow. More than that and no-one reads it.
- One photo per day, not ten. The right photo is one that shows real progress.
- Explicit None Today on incidents is better than silence. Silence reads as forgot.
